Discover Pass website information

Starting today, the new Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to
Washington state parks and recreation lands. This important new program
is aimed at providing revenue to keep these lands open and operating,
following steep state budget cuts. The Discover Pass allows access to
nearly 7 million acres of Washington state-managed recreation lands -
including state parks, water-access points, heritage sites, wildlife and
natural areas, trails and trailheads.

As with any new statewide program, there is a great need for public
information on the new pass. Scores of Discover Pass stories have
appeared in state news outlets, and citizens have many questions about
the pass.

To assist your readers and viewers, please consider adding the following

Thank you for your help in informing outdoor recreation enthusiasts
about the Discover Pass.
