What is The Mountaineers cancellation and refund policy?

How to cancel from an activity depends on whether the activity is open for registration and if a fee is charged. Click on the activity's title in the Upcoming Activities area of the Your Account page to view these details. Show Me

  • If registration for the activity is still open and there is no fee for the activity, click on the black "X" to cancel from that activity.

  • If the activity registration is closed and there is no fee for the activity, contact the leader to cancel. Click on the leader's name in the Upcoming Activities area of the Your Account page to obtain their contact information.

  • If there is a fee for the activity and the activity is still open for registration, contact our Member Services staff to cancel. You will receive a refund of the fee you paid minus a $10 administrative cancellation fee. In some cases an additional cancellation fee may apply; if so, it will be listed in the Leader's Notes section of the activity details.

  • If there is a fee for the activity and registration is closed, contact the leader to cancel. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis by the leader. Click on the leader's name in the Upcoming Activities area of the Your Account page to obtain their contact information.

  • If the activity is designated "Sign up with the leader," please contact the leader to cancel as you did to register. Click on the leader's name in the Upcoming Activities area of the Your Account page to obtain their contact information.

  • If the activity is a Global Adventure, please visit the Global Adventures web page for the cancellation and refund policy specific to your trip. If no cancellation information is listed for a particular trip please contact the leader.
